Shivam Dube stood out and helped India when they were in troubled waters. The Indian left-hander Dube gave himself some time and then launched against the Dutch bowling as his 66 off 31 balls alongside the support from Hardik Pandya helped India post 193/6. For the Dutch, they bowled well especially Aryan Dutt. But the others went for runs especially in death overs. India ahead at the interval.

Winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan came out to open for India while Aryan Dutt had ball in hand for Netherlands. Aryan struck for the Dutch as he removed Abhishek for a bronze duck as he was cleaned up by the bowler. Tilak Varma came out to bat at 3. Tilak managed to get a triple through the covers.
Logan van Beek came into the attack next as Tilak welcomed him with a straight six down the ground over long-off. Ishan opened his account as he flicked it away to deep backward square leg for a boundary. Kishan managed to get a triple to the midwicket region, Aryan continued as Tilak drilled the ball down the ground for a boundary. Colin Ackermann came into the attack next. Kishan charged down the track to loft it over extra covers for the maximum. Tilak swiped hard and got a boundary past short fine leg.
Aryan continued as Ishan rocked back and pulled it to deep midwicket for a boundary. But Ishan fell to Aryan Dutt for 18 off 7 balls with 2 fours and one six to his name as he played it on. Captain Suryakumar Yadav came to the crease next. Tilak flicked it away past short midwicket for a boundary.
Kyle Klein came into the attack for the last over of powerplay. Surya leant into the drive through deep point for a boundary. The 50 came up for India in 5.3 overs. India were 51/2 in 6 overs with Tilak unbeaten on 26 off 20 balls and Surya unbeaten on 7 off 8 balls.
Netherlands keep chipping away to keep India under check in the middle phase of the game.Â
Colin Ackermann came back into the attack and bowled a good over. Bas de Leede came into the attack next. He too kept things under check. Logan returned to the attack as Surya was given a lifeline when on 13 as Michael Levitt put down a sitter in the deep. Surya got the outside edge as the ball went away to the third man fence. Logan came back and dismissed Tilak for 31 off 27 balls with 3 fours and one six to his name as van der Merwe pulled off a stunner.
Shivam Dube came out to bat next. Kyle Klein came back into the attack. He bowled a good 10th over as India were 74/3 in 10 overs at the halfway stage of the game. Aryan came back to bowl his final over as Dube survived a scare as umpire’s call went in favour of Dube. Aryan Dutt’s fantastic spell came to an end. Bas de Leede came back into the attack as Surya broke the shackles by whipping the ball over backward square leg high and handsome for the maximum.
Ackermann returned as Dube stayed leg side of the ball and cleared his front leg on the front foot to heave it away over midwicket for the maximum. Dube stayed leg side of the ball again and drove it beautifully through extra covers and long-off for a boundary. Dube went big as he played the slog sweep over deep midwicket for the maximum as the 100 came up for India in 12.4 overs.
Klein came back into the attack and removed Surya for 34 off 28 balls with 2 fours and one six to his name as the ball was taken in the deep with the substitute fielder taking a fine catch. Drinks was taken with India at 110/4 in 13.3 overs. Hardik Pandya came out to bat next.
Bas de Leede came back to the attack to bowl the 15th over. He bowled a good 15th over. India have been restricted to 119/4 in 15 overs with Dube unbeaten on 26 off 19 balls with Hardik unbeaten on 5 off 6 balls. The Dutch have done well for the first 15 overs and would like to continue that in the back 5 overs.

Roelof van der Merwe came into the attack next. Dube took on Roelof and hit the full toss over deep midwicket for the maximum. Hardik then joined in the fun as he lunged forward and beat wide long-on for the maximum. Logan van Beek came back into the attack as Dube took him on by clearing his front leg and launched over midwicket for the maximum. Dube launched Logan as he lofted the ball over long-on for the maximum. Dube then hit a boundary as he drilled it past sweeper covers for a boundary.
Dube reached his fifty in 25 balls as the 150 came up in 17 overs. Bas de Leede came back into the attack as Dube stood tall and waited for it and swivelled it past deep backward square leg for a boundary. Kyle Klein came to bowl the 19th over and was struggling for cramps as he bowled a few wides. Dube then flicked it away past short fine leg and deep backward square leg for a boundary.
Hardik joined the party as he stayed deep in the crease and cleared long-on for the maximum with a whack. Hardik went big again as he cleared long-off for the maximum down the ground. Logan came to bowl the last over of the innings. Dube took him on and hacked it over midwicket for the maximum. Dube then fell to a brilliant catch in the deep as Logan got his wicket with Dube holed out at deep fine leg for 66 off 31 balls with 4 fours and 6 sixes to his name. Rinku Singh came out to bat next.
Rinku then crouched and bent his back knee and cleared his front leg and launched it over forward square leg for the maximum. Logan got rid of Hardik for 30 off 21 balls with 3 sixes to his name as he went for the big one and was holed out in the last ball of the innings. Rinku was unbeaten on 6 off 3 balls with a six to his name as India finished with 193/6 in 20 overs with 8 extras given by the fielding side.
Aryan Dutt was the pick of the bowlers for Netherlands with figures of 2/19 in 4 overs. Logan van Beek finished with 3/56 in 4 overs. Colin Ackermann finished with 0/36 in 3 overs. Kyle Klein finished with 1/39 in 4 overs. Bas de Leede finished with 0/28 in 4 overs. Roelof van der Merwe finished with an over for 15 runs. Netherlands needed 194 runs to win off 20 overs.
Who’s Winning, India or Netherlands?Â
India have recovered from a hole thanks to Shivam Dube’s heroics as his 66 helped India recover from 119/4 in 15 overs to get to 193/6 in the end in 20 overs. It’s a good score and Netherlands need to start well and take game deep to win this game. India should close this out but cannot take the Dutch likely by any means.
