Just before starting their third match of T20 World Cup 2024 where India is set to face co-hosts USA at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, the opulent Indian coaching team admitted having discussions with the left-handed flamboyant all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to organize his stint.
Coaching Staff Rallies Behind Ravindra Jadeja
Before the World Cup game against the USA, the bowling coach Paras Mhambrey said in the press conference that the head coach Rahul Dravid, and the selector Vikram Rathour have been continuously being with Ravindra Jadeja, and there have been quite many discussions among them to get the best out of the left-hander.
“I think it’s a team game, right? It’s going to be 11 guys. You don’t expect all of them to come into form. It’s going to be performed every game that will happen. For me, I feel whatever conversations Rahul and Vicky are having around, I’ve been pretty happy with it. And you expect a one-odd game out there,” Mhambrey mentioned.
Ravindra Jadeja’s Experience Could be the Key to Turnaround
“It’s a long tournament. I think…someone like Jadeja, who’s so vastly experienced, he just needs a game out there to just get his roots around and feel around. And we know that the skills that he has and the experience, he’s going to go ahead and he’s going to win your games. So that confidence we have in not only Jadeja but honestly with someone like Dube and others as well,” he said.
