Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) suffered yet another defeat in the tournament as now they have lost 3 matches out of 4 and are placed at 9th position on the points table with 2 points from 4 matches and an NRR (net run rate) of -0.876. Mayank Yadav was the wrecker in chief for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) against RCB. Mayank Yadav bowled express pace and immaculate line & lengths which astounded everyone.
LSG fans would be over the moon as their skipper KL Rahul was back and declared fit for the clash. LSG’s dashing left handed batter Quinton de Kock played a flamboyant knock of 81 runs in 56 balls and struck 8 fours and 5 sixes. It won’t be wrong to say that Cricket South Africa (CSA) would be insisting Quinton de Kock to reconsider his retirement as he is still striking the ball sweetly & cleanly.
LSG’s head coach Justin Langer would be considering promoting Krunal Pandya up the order as they have a lot of pinch hitters present in the side in the form of Marcus Stoinis & Nicholas Pooran who can bat lower down the order. There is no doubt that Krunal Pandya can clear the long boundary but he is someone who can play the role of stabilizer and attack the spinners in the middle overs phase.
My goal is to play for the country- Mayank Yadav
Mayank Yadav was seen in the post match presentation as he was the player of the match for his outstanding spell of 3 wickets for 14 runs in his 4 over spell. Mayank Yadav stated that his main aim is to play for the country and said that he enjoyed Cameron Green’s wicket the most. Mayank Yadav pointed out that he is focusing a lot on his diet.
“Feel really good, two Player of the Match awards in two matches. I am happier that we won both the matches. My goal is to play for the country. I feel this is just the start. I enjoyed Cameron Green’s wicket the most. There are a lot of factors to bowl quick – diet, sleep, training. I am focusing a lot on my diet and recovery – ice bath,” said Mayank Yadav.
