ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 India won the T20 World Cup after 17 years and finally finished the drought after 11 years of ICC trophy. Rohit Sharma and Co had a brilliant campaign as they remained unbeaten and so they dominated the World Cup.
Final 5 overs will be remembered for ages how India made a solid comeback and won the trophy. One more highlight was the knock of Virat Kohli and Axar Patel which took India to 176 runs. Heroics from Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah with ball will be always a great memory.

Virat Kohli announced his retirement after the match while speaking in post match presentation he made that announcement and everyone was bit emotional but feels like it was a happy farewell and he deserves it. Player like Virat Kohli is made once in a lifetime and their is no one like him his aggression and passion towards game was way different, his milestones are very hard to surpass and his contribution for Indian Cricket will be remembered for ages Former Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad lauds Virat Kohli for his retirement. Ahmed Shehzad said:
“Virat Kohli is a legend of our generation. Every time he stepped on the field, he played the game with the same enthusiasm. He is leaving a great legacy in the T20Is. Good luck to Indian Cricket trying to fill his massive shoes. No one should compare Babar Azam or any other cricketer to him,” as quoted by Sporskeeda.
“Even in his last T20I, Virat was celebrating at long-on and long-off whenever a wicket fell. He did not score runs in the entire T20 World Cup, but when things are written in your destiny, you will get them. He scored runs in the final when nobody else stood up with the bat. India would never have won the T20 World Cup final without Virat Kohli’s innings,” Shehzad explained.
