South African cricket team would be eager to dictate the terms against Australia in the T20I series commencing from 30th August (*Wednesday). Dewald Brevis is expected to make his T20I debut and the fans would be hoping that he can convert his franchise form into a national team. Dewald Brevis is tipped to be the next big thing in World Cricket.

It won’t be wrong to say that this is a new beginning for both teams ahead of the T20 WC 2024 which is scheduled in June 2024 at USA-West Indies. It would be interesting to see how the mighty Aussies fare against the spinners in the middle overs phase which could be decisive in determining the winner of the T20I series.

A dream has come true for me- Dewald Brevis

Dewald Brevis was having an interaction with ESPNcricinfo and was quite excited to represent South Africa in the upcoming T20I series commencing on 30th August (*Wednesday). Dewald Brevis pointed out that playing for South Africa has been an honor and said that he couldn’t have asked for anything better.

“I know there will always be expectations and I always like that because there is more reason to show who you are then. Pressure is always there; I feel the pressure, but I like it. It’s just how you deal with it, just being yourself and enjoying the moment and trying not to think too much of it. Just want people to get to know me as Dewald Brevis and just see how I go about my things and I want to inspire people and be an example for people,” said Dewald Brevis.

“It’s really been amazing, these last few days because a dream has come true for me. From a very young age, I’ve wanted to be part of this amazing set-up of the Proteas. It’s been an honor and it’s been wonderful to live my dream and to spend time with the team. Couldn’t have asked for anything better,” he added.

Exciting T20I series on Cards

Cricket Australia (CA) have named a new young leader in the form of Mitchell Marsh. It would be quite interesting to see whether the captaincy takes a toll on Mitchell Marsh’s fearless brand of cricket. Australia had a forgettable T20 WC 2022 and with the retirement of Aaron Finch, CA have shown faith in Mitchell Marsh.

South Africa have a score to settle as the last time, the two sides clashed against each other was in 2020 when Australia won the T20I series by 2-1. South African bowlers will have to be smart against the likes of Marcus Stoinis & Tim David as the duo have got sheer power and can dismantle the opposition.
