In the 27th over, Siraj got the huge wicket of Roston Chase, who was deceived by a Jaffa of a delivery. There was a small partnership of 39 runs in 66 balls between Justin Greaves & Khary Pierre, which gave hope to the West Indies.

Jasprit Bumrah then unleashed his yorkers and thunderbolts and helped India bundle out the West Indies for 162 runs. Jasprit Bumrah finished with a breathtaking spell of  3-42 in 14 overs. The way he bowled Justin Greaves in the 39th over was jaw-dropping as the speedster quite quickly acclimatized to the red ball arena after the Asia Cup 2025 triumph. Mohammed Siraj, on the other hand took a 4-wicket haul for 40 runs in 14 overs and bowled 3 maiden over spells.

What lies ahead for India & West Indies in the evening session

West Indies’ batting performance was quite shambolic as not a single batter scored 35+ runs. It would sound very harsh, but the  Caribbean unit doesn’t seem to have the mental application to succeed in Test cricket. India, on the other hand would be aiming to get a score in excess of 300+ runs and make sure that they don’t bat again in 2nd innings. West Indies needs to inflict a drastic collapse to give them a chance in match.
