The fire of cricket burned bright Rachin Ravindra’s heart, and he began the journey at the age of 5, playing for the Hut Hawks cricket club in Wellington.

Ravindra’s talent and dedication earned him a spot in the New Zealand under 19 cricket team, representing his country in the 2016 and 2018 Under 19 World Cups. The International Cricket Council (ICC) earned his exceptional skills, naming him one of the rising stars of the competition in 2018. This recognition marked the beginning of Ravindra’s stardom.

The 2020–21 session proved to be a breakthrough year for Ravindra. He scored his maiden century in List A cricket and followed it up with his first class debut for New Zealand A. The stage was set for his international debut, and Ravindra made his T20I debut for New Zealand against Bangladesh in 2021. Later that year, he made his Test debut against India, cementing his place in the national team.

Ravindra’s impressive performances earned him a spot in New Zealand’s squad for the 2023 World Cup. He played a crucial role in the team’s campaign, scoring three centuries and 578 runs at an average of 41. His strike rate of 108.03 and ability to hit boundaries made him a valuable asset to the team. Rachin Ravindra’s exceptional performance earned him the ICC Men’s Emergency Cricketer of the Year in 2023, a testament to his hard work and dedication.

His impressive performance earned him a spot in the CSK team, and he has been an integral part of the team ever since. Ravindra’s recent performance in the IPL has been nothing short of sensational. He played a gem of knock of 65 runs in 45 balls & struck 2 fours and 4 sixes on a treacherous pitch  in a thrilling match against Mumbai Indians, helping his team win by 4 wickets.
