Smriti Mandhana speaks about her game

Deputy of Indian Women’s team Smriti Mandhana has been in great form past many matches and the recent South Africa series has helped her to regain her form this will help her in the Asia Cup where India will face Pakistan in their first encounter which will be a high voltage match and it will raise the bar of expectations from India. Smriti Mandhana express her game and mindset on how it will perform while playing Asia Cup matches:

“My mindset is just to play according to the merits of the ball. Sometimes you bat first or you bat second. When you bat second, you have that score in front of you, and you can calculate your risks, and you can go for it. In the first innings, I feel in T20, it’s a bit of a disadvantage that you don’t know what you have to get to. But I think not to complicate it too much, just play according to the merits of the ball. It’s very simple, just keep it simple. I feel like that,” Mandhana told Star Sports.

Compared to the last Asia Cup India women have many youngsters who will play their first Asia Cup and looks very strong squad and have the potential to defend the title India Women will also keep an eye on the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 which will be held in Bangladesh in October.
