Zimbabwe Cricket Team has had a decent outing since the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2021. Their recent triumph against Bangladesh was magnificent. The team has played 16 T20Is and has won 9 matches out of them and all of a sudden, the team is showing shades of the old Zimbabwe Team who used to be fearless.
Squad: Craig Ervine (c), Ryan Burl, Regis Chakabva, Tendai Chatara, Bradley Evans, Luke Jongwe, Clive Madande, Wessly Madhevere, Wellington Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Sean Williams
Reserves: Tanaka Chivanga, Innocent Kaia, Kevin Kasuza, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Victor Nyauchi
Strengths
Zimbabwe would be banking on their fast bowlers to excel in Australian conditions. The lanky fast bowler Blessing Muzurabani would enjoy bowling on bouncy pitches. Sikandar Raza has shown that he is also a wicket-taker apart from being the finisher as his couple of overs can easily change the facets of the match.

Weaknesses
The senior batters Craig Ervine & Sean Williams are not performing according to their credentials. The duo has been around the team for more than a decade but they are looking scratchy. Every time Sikandar Raza won’t bail the team out. The skipper Craig Ervine will have to bat up the order and provide the stability to the innings.
Fixtures
17th October: Zimbabwe vs Ireland at Hobart at 13:30 IST
19th October: Zimbabwe vs West Indies at Hobart at 13:30 IST

Chances
Zimbabwe is going to play all of its matches at Hobart. Their biggest challenge would be against West Indies. That contest would be a riveting one as both the teams are evenly matched and it won’t be wrong to say that it would be a kind of eliminator.
With the presence of Senior players back, Zimbabwe has a Great Chance to enter into the marquee event. Under the coaching of Dave Houghton, the team has found its missing spark. Zimbabwe most likely will qualify for Super 12 unless and until they hit themselves.
