Delhi Capitals (DC) ended their IPL campaign on a high with a win over Punjab Kings by chasing 207 target with 3 balls left, keeping the race for the top 2 spots wide open.  DC‘s Sameer Rizvi impressed with his maiden IPL fifty (*58 runs in 25 balls & hit 3 fours and 5 sixes), while Karun Nair’s steady 44 helped seal the chase against the heavyweights.

DC Roared Over & Silenced PBKS

At Sawai Mansingh, the stage was set,

Delhi won the toss, chose to bowl — no regret.

Punjab’s stars walked out, fire in their stride,

But DC’s bowlers held firm, turned the tide.

Priyansh Arya fell early, just 6 to his name,

Mustafizur Rahman struck — changing the game.

Prabhsimran Singh went for 28, full of flair,

But Vipraj Nigam broke through with skill and care.

Then came a storm — Josh Inglis on fire,

32 from 12, pure Aussie desire.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer stood tall with 53,

But wickets kept falling, DC bowled cleverly.

Kuldeep Yadav spun magic, took two,

Including Omarzai and Iyer — clean and true.

Stoinis tried late blows — 44 in just 16,

But Mustafiz’s 3-fer kept the finish lean.

Punjab ended with 206 for 8,

An explosive total, they thought it was great.

Now Delhi began with a fire of their own,

KL Rahul (35) and Faf du Plessis (23) set the tone.

But Harpreet Brar struck with back-to-back blows,

Sent Faf and Karun back, pressure arose.

Enter Sameer Rizvi, cool as a breeze,

With five bold sixes, he played with ease.

A maiden IPL fifty, dazzling and fast,

He made sure PBKS wouldn’t outlast.

Karun Nair’s 44 — steady and wise,

Held the middle, with calm in his eyes.

Together with Stubbs, who added 18 more,

Delhi chased 208 in just 19.3 overs — what a score!

Harpreet Brar got 2 wickets but was outshined,

As DC’s chase was perfectly timed.

Mustafizur’s 3/33 & Kuldeep’s 2/39 stood bright,

And Vipraj’s 2/38 brought bowling delight.

Sameer’s bat spoke, Karun’s class gleamed,

Delhi ended strong, just as they dreamed.

Punjab, despite Stoinis and Iyer’s fight,

Walked off in silence into the Jaipur night.
