Afghanistan‘s top order guided them to a historical victory over Pakistan as they chased down the target of 283 with ease they won by 8 wickets and 6 balls to spare. Babar Azam won the toss, chose to bat and Shadab Khan returned to the playing 11 both teams aim to get back to the winning ways. Meanwhile, Afghanistan added another spinner in Noor Ahmad in the spinners aid track in Chennai.

The Pakistan skipper Babar Azam scored a brilliant 74 off 92 with 4 fours and six. Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan provided the finishing touch as the duo added 73 runs for the 6 wicket Shadab Khan played a brilliant innings scoring 40  off 38 with a four and six.

Iftikhar Ahmed played a brilliant cameo and scored 40 off just 26 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes to guide them to 282 for 7. Naveen picked up 2 wickets and finished with the figures of 2 for 52 in his 7 overs. Noor Ahamed used the condition to his advantage he picked up 3 vital wickets finishing with 3 for 49 in his 10 overs.

Mohammed Nabi bowled an economical spell he finished with 1 for 31 in his 10 overs. A dream start for Afghanistan Rauf has started with a 17-run over here. He bowled a few short ones which Gurbaz played well. It is turning bad for Pakistan pretty quickly. They would have banked to pick up early wickets which did not happen.

Gurbaz and Afghanistan continue the onslaught. Haris Rauf isn’t backing away from bowling quick and the flamboyant opener isn’t giving in either. A quick, back-length delivery that is pulled with disdain behind square on the on side for four

Zadran and Rahmat take Afghanistan to historic victory

The opening duo of Zadran and Gurbaz completed their respective fifties along with their century stand. Gurbaz departed for a brilliant 65 off 53 balls with 9 fours and six. Back-to-back boundaries for Rahmat Shah off Usama Mir he also joined the party no Pakistan is running out of options.

The partnership between Rahmat Shah and Zadran lasted for 60 runs has finally ended Zadran departed for a brilliant 87 off 113 balls with 10 fours. Rahmat Shah-Hashmatullah Shahidi in command the duo is putting the pressure back on Pakistan they are cruising along towards the target.  Rahmat Shah scored a fabulous  77 runs off 84 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi played a cameo of 48 runs off 45 balls with 4 fours  to guide Afghanistan to victory
