In the Sunday doubleheader between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, RR lost by five wickets. In the middle of the match, Navjot Singh Sidhu, a commentator and a former Indian batsman, called MS Dhoni a one-of-a-generation player. After the Chennai Super Kings won another game and moved up to third place in the IPL points table, Navjot Singh Sidhu referred to former India captain MS Dhoni as a ‘yugpurush,’ or once-in-a-generation figure. In Chennai, home of the defending champions, the former captain is revered as a deity.

In a low-scoring game against Rajasthan, which had its share of drama with Ravindra Jadeja being given out for obstructing the field, Chennai chased down a target of 142 with 10 deliveries to spare on a tricky track. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was the star for Chennai with the bat, remaining unbeaten on a 41-ball 42. Rachin Ravindra (27 off 18 balls) and Gaikwad managed a 32-run partnership before the former was dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin in the fourth over

But Ravindra’s dismissal had no effect on Gaikwad and Daryl Mitchell (22 off 13 balls), who maintained a run rate of over nine and finished the powerplay at 56/1. Pacer Sandeep Sharma was the most expensive bowler for the visitors during the powerplay and was hammered for 23 runs. Mitchell appeared to be on a mission, but his stay was cut short by spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.

CSK will face the Royal Challengers Bangalore at home on Saturday, May 18, looking to keep their winning streak going.

Aur ye sakaraatmak soch ki parkaashtha hai, Himalaya parvat hai, ek yugpurush hai—Navjot Singh Sidhu

Navjot Singh Sidhu Speaking at HotStar, He began by stating that your thoughts are what keep you alive in the game. He went on to say that the innumerable thoughts that arise during a match and that become the major action skills of the fighter are essential. He continued by praising MS Dhoni, who is the master of thoughts. He is a player of a generation, as strong as the Himalayas, and when he retires, a new era will also retire.

“The world bows to the strong, not to the weak. It’s the thoughts that count. Thoughts can make humans gods. All the miracles in the world are the result of thoughts. Your thoughts are the real interpreters of your actions.” Said Navjot Singh Sidhu

“Aur ye sakaraatmak soch ki parkaashtha hai, Himalaya parvat hai, ek yugpurush hai. And when he retires from the game, an era will end. It is rare that mothers give birth to a great man and the stature of that great man grows and spreads like a cult, the legend grows, and it happens every second,” he futher added
