MI vs PBKS: A Qualifier Tale Of PBKS’ Dominance Over MI

At the Narendra Modi Stadium, Punjab Kings (PBKS) face off against five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) for a place in the IPL 2025 final against RCB. PBKS, led by Shreyas Iyer, come off a disappointing batting collapse against RCB, but have shown strength in their top and middle order throughout the season. Their bowling relies heavily on Arshdeep Singh, with support from Harpreet Brar, Jamieson, and Omarzai. PBKS chased down 204 runs quite comfortably and ended the juggernaut of MI.

PBKS Roar & End MI’s Journey

At Narendra Modi, the lights shined bright,

PBKS won toss, said, “We’ll bowl tonight.”

MI came out, eyes on the prize,

But Punjab had fire, and some surprise.

Rohit went early, just eight on the board,

Stoinis got him—crowd slightly bored.

Bairstow smacked 38 with flair,

But Vyshak said, “Out you go, beware!”

Tilak and SKY both made their mark,

With twin 44s, they lit up the park.

But wickets kept falling at just the wrong time,

From 142/2 to 197/6—no rhythm, no rhyme.

Hardik and Dhir tried to steer the ship,

But Omarzai’s double strike gave MI the slip.

A total of 203 seemed quite fine,

But Punjab had plans by the finish line.

Arya went BANG! 20 off ten,

Till Ashwani said, “That’s enough, my friend.”

Prabhsimran fell early—Boult with the blow,

Josh Inglis came in, began the show.

With 38 flashy runs, Inglis went flying,

Then Hardik struck—MI fans stopped smiling.

But enter the man of the moment, no less,

Captain Shreyas—put MI under stress!

87 off 41—sixes rained from the sky,

Strike rate 212—he was flying high.

Wadhera joined in, cool and composed,

With 48 handy runs, the chase was closed.

A couple fell late, but it wasn’t a scare,

As Marcus and Shreyas took them there.

207/5 in 19 overs—chase complete,

And Mumbai’s hopes? A graceful defeat.
