On Tuesday Chennai and Lucknow faced each other again as Chennai was ready to take revenge but Marcus Stoinis spoiled the night. He smashed 124 runs in 60 balls and grabbed the 2 points for Lucknow Super Giants. Marcus Stoinis was adjourned as man of the match and it looked as if he had a complete gameplan.
Stoinis’ knock went straight away into the record books of IPL he now holds the highest individual score in the run chase. Chennai’s skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad also smashed a century he also made history by becoming the first captain to score a century for Chennai, but it came in a losing cause.
Stoinis made a statement that he can also bat up the order as his promotion at batting position no.3 was quite shocking. LSG looks a team to beat as they don’t have a significant weakness in the team. CSK on the other side now have got a reality check as their fragile bowling line up was exposed.
