The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are keeping their hopes high as they somehow believe they could get qualified for the playoffs. RCB’s last win was against PBKS on Thursday in Dharamshala.

RCb set a target score of 241, with Virat Kohli’s 92-run contributions and Patidar’s 55-run. PBKS submitted their defeat to RCB for 181 runs, with Mohammed Siraj pulling 3 wickets and Lockie Ferguson and Swapnil Singh registering two wickets each.

Faf du Plessis reckons that they had to win this winning match against PBKS, as because the Faf du Plessis-led side had to bat first regarding their loss on the toss.

The South African stated: “It was a really good game, we scored 240 after losing the toss. The method and the aggression are good to see.”

The RCB’s barely managed to survive in this IPL 2024 edition despite their horrible performances and their start to the season. Plessis mentioned honest review in the dressing room.

“Had some good conversations about making the same mistakes again and again. We changed our method and how we approached the game,” the 39-year-old mentioned.

“Aggression with the bat was one of those. With the ball, we didn’t take enough wickets in the powerplay, so we spoke about that,” he described.

He (Plessis) shed light on the importance of players being able to hit well and maintain composure in order to gain points.

“We needed a bit of form on our side, too. We had a few guys looking for runs and wickets. You fight for that and have to find a way. If you look now there are a few guys in really good form,” he reckons.

Plessis concluded by saying, “We want to stick to the style of play that we want to do, if we do that we’ll prove we are a really good team.”
