The 35-year-old is the leading run-getter in the ongoing tournament. He managed to shut down his critics, who were questioning his strike rate. He will be next seen in action in RCB’s match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 18.
Virat Kohli picks his street team
In an interesting conversation with Jio Cinema, Virat Kohli was given the assignment to put up the ‘perfect street cricket team,’ which could only have five players—the magical batsman included. Kohli made his decisions quickly, grabbing the individuals stated above without any delay.
“You pick four players to form the ultimate street cricket side along with you. You have to keep minimum 1 keeper, 1 batter and 1 bowler,” the host asks.
“Along with me, the keeper-batter would be, in my opinion, AB de Villiers. There’ll be Jasprit Bumrah. That makes it three. There will be Andre Russell. That makes it four. And there will be Rashid Khan. That makes it five,” Kohli said.
With RCB now sealed the play-off qualification by beating CSK, it will be interesting to see whether they can win 3 back to back matches on the bounce and win their maiden trophy. All eyes will be on Glenn Maxwell who against CSK showed a lot of promise with both bat & ball. RCB fans would hoping that the ‘Big Show” peaks at the perfect time against RR in the Eliminator which won’t be easy at all.
