Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans would be pumped up as the beloved skipper MS Dhoni is going to play the marquee tournament. Shivam Dube, the destructive left handed batter had said in one of his interviews that how MS Dhoni helped him to play fearless brand of cricket. Shivam Dube had a terrific IPL 2023 edition where he amassed 418 runs at an average of 38 and a whooping strike rate of 158.33.

CSK would be thinking of using Shivam Dube as a pinch hitter as the stylish batter has got a wide range of shots and can decimate the opposition on the given day and play a fiery knock. The peculiarity of CSK is that they allow every cricketer to express themselves which makes them a dangerous team to beat.

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his You-Tube channel. Aakash Chopra pointed out that Shivam Dube can be an ideal all-rounder for Men in Blue for the upcoming T20 WC 2024. Aakash Chopra stated that Shivam Dube has amassed runs in Ranji Trophy as well and picked wickets too. Shivam Dube had made his T20I debut way back in 2019 but hasn’t got a long rope to showcase his credentials.

“In my opinion, it’s a huge opportunity for Shivam Dube as his name could come for the World Cup. He first scored runs for India in T20Is and then scored runs in the Ranji Trophy, and picked up wickets as well. So he has a big opportunity here,” said Aakash Chopra.

‘N’ match winners present in CSK’s camp

The 5 time IPL winners and the defending champions are once again the red hot favorites to win the championship. According to multiple reports and sources with knowledge, it is strongly believed that the iconic skipper MS Dhoni will bid adieu to IPL and Dhoni would be keen to finish on a high note.

CSK though have been dealt with a huge blow as the dynamic left handed batter Devon Conway is ruled out for the first half of the tournament. The management will be considering promoting Ravindra Jadeja up the order as he has the knack of playing match winning cameos. All eyes though will be on the spin bowling all-rounder sensation Rachin Ravindra who is tipped to be the next big thing in World Cricket.
