The veteran of 500 Test wickets and 100 test matches, it’s none other than India’s spin maestro Ravichandran Ashwin. The scintillating right arm off-spinner will be keen to make an impact in the upcoming IPL 2024 edition for his franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR). Ravichandran Ashwin is also a handy batter and is always into the face of the opponent which makes him a stalwart of the game.
Ravichandran Ashwin will be keen to end his career on a high note as the 37 year old spinner is a legend of the spin bowling. It won’t be wrong to say that Ashwin along with Ravindra Jadeja form a deadly combo which also strengthens the batting line up of India as we have seen that the lower middle order also needs to play some handy cameos for the team.

Rahul Dravid was seen at the felicitation organized by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) to praise the star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on accomplishing 100 Tests and taking 500 wickets. Rahul Dravid pointed out that Ravichandran Ashwin has inspired the whole generation of young spinners. Rahul Dravid stated that Ashwin challenges the opponent which makes him special.
“I hope he (Ravichandran Ashwin) is not finished. He has moved the craft of spin bowling through his hard work, dedication, and innovation. That’s a great legacy to have. Fantastic! Well done and inspired a whole generation of young spinners,” said Rahul Dravid.
He always has the desire to contribute to the team’s success. Have really enjoyed my time with him. The good thing about him is that he challenges you, and as a coach, you want that. Looking forward to more such memories with him. He is one of a kind,” he added.

We all remember that how Ashwin hit the winning runs against Pakistan in T20 WC 2022 league stage match; but before that Ashwin showed presence of mind by leaving the leg side ball which indeed was quite brilliant. Ashwin has been a part of the national cricket team across all the 3 formats of the game.
Ravichandran Ashwin is called as the scientist of the spin bowling who has so many variations which can bamboozle the opposition on the given day. All eyes though will be on the Ajit Agarkar led selection panel as will once again they bring back the veteran Ashwin for the marquee T20 WC 2024 or show faith in the youngsters.
