Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) would be aiming for a better season this time. Travis Head is expected to open the batting for SRH as the left handed batter’s natural attacking brand of cricket can dismantle the opposition on the given day. Travis Head can also roll his arm for the side for the couple of years which makes him an invaluable asset.
SRH’s owners & coaching staff have named a new skipper in the form of Pat Cummins who is quite new to leading the side in T20 format. We should not forget that Pat Cummins led Australia to ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle win & won the marquee ODI WC 2023 tournament as well.
The team looks good- Travis Head
Travis Head was seen speaking on SRH’s social media handle. Travis Head was quite pumped up for the upcoming IPL 2024 edition. Travis Head stated that the team will try and win as many games as possible. Travis Head also pointed out that he has heard amazing things about the Orange Army.
“Feeling good. It’s good to be back. Looking forward to a good season, the team looks good. Looking forward to a winning run and hopefully contributing with some runs. I have heard some amazing things about Orange Army and I am looking forward to playing in front of everyone. I guess we will try and win as many games as possible and have a successful season,” said Travis Head.
SRH a team to beat
SRH undoubtedly have a lot of powerful hitters in the form of Glenn Phillips but Indian batters like Rahul Tripathi & Abdul Samad need to play effective knocks and cameos for the team as the overseas cricketers can’t score all the time. This has been their main issue since the last couple of editions. There is Australian flavor in SRH’s camp as Daniel Vettori is the head coach(*assistant coach of Australia) which can bring back the joy to the fans.
All eyes will be on the left arm speedster T Natarajan who has been in and out of the national cricket team due to injuries and also at the same time, he is quite expensive. It will be interesting to see how the seasoned campaigner Jaydev Unadkat fares in IPL 2024 edition as he is someone who bowls immaculate line & lengths and is immensely experienced.
