Indian cricket team suffered a heart wrenching defeat in the 2nd T20I match. It seemed as if the side missed the services of the leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi in the 2nd match. Ravi Bishnoi played an integral role in India’s recent triumph against Australia which India by 4-1.
The likes of Ravindra Jadeja & Kuldeep Yadav couldn’t create an impact despite being more than 150 runs on the board. Perhaps, Suryakumar Yadav should have used Kuldeep in the powerplay overs who has the knack of breaking crucial partnerships and is a bowlers with the golden arm.
South Africa would be over the moon as chasing 152 runs against a star studded bowling line up of India doesn’t happen too often. We should not forget that Quinton de Kock wasn’t a part of the setup who chose Big Bash League over the national duty which raises a lot of questions over the board & players.
I am still unable to understand the team selection- Aakash Chopra on Ravi Bishnoi’s omission
Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his You Tube channel. Aakash Chopra was quite stunned and amazed by the fact that Ravi Bishnoi missed the cut for South African T20I series. Aakash Chopra said that more Ravi Bishnoi needs to do even after being the No.1 ranked bowler.
“I am still unable to understand the team selection. Shreyas Iyer didn’t play and you would be thinking why he didn’t play as he was the vice-captain in the last match. He scored a fifty as well against Australia and he didn’t play in this match,” said Aakash Chopra.
“No one told why he didn’t play. Along with him, Ravi Bishnoi – he was the Player of the Series of the last series. He is currently No. 1 in the ICC T20I rankings but he too didn’t play,” he added.
