England national cricket team will be in a state of shock after losing the Test series by 1-4. There were high hopes from the Britishers to win the Test series especially the way they played in the opening Test match. Zak Crawley was one of the biggest positives for the side. Zak Crawley managed to score 407 runs in 5 Test matches and struck 4 half centuries.
England’s middle order didn’t perform according to their credentials, the likes of Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow & Ben Stokes were foxed by Indian bowlers. It won’t be wrong to say that it was England’s one of the best batting line-ups but their ultra-attacking approach ‘Bazball’ spoiled all the hard work of the openers Zak Crawley & Ben Duckett.

Ravichandran Ashwin was seen speaking on his You Tube channel. Ravichandran Ashwin made a bold statement that England’s dashing right handed batter Zak Crawley is a phenomenal cricketer. Ravichandran Ashwin was quite confused that how Zak Crawley didn’t got a permanent place in the white ball cricket.
“I feel Zak Crawley, for the potential and talent he has, will go on to become one of the finest batters for England. If he doesn’t, I don’t know where and how to quantify that. Phenomenal cricketer. It is surprising that he still hasn’t gotten a permanent place in white-ball cricket with the England team, but it’s only a matter of time,” said Ravichandran Ashwin.
England cricket team in deep trouble
The deadly combo of head coach Brendon McCullum & skipper Ben Stokes would be wondering what went wrong for them. England Cricket Board (ECB) needs to have some serious conversations with Ben Stokes as his inability to bowl (*he bowled in the 5th Test match) hurt the team immensely.
England’s next Test assignment is against West Indies in July 2024, the Men in Maroon are quite mercurial & unpredictable; but it won’t be a tough task for Ben Stokes’ brigade to outclass Caribbean. England undoubtedly got a reality check as their weakness against spinners was exposed and perhaps the Britishers are forgetting that Test cricket isn’t all about entertainment especially not in Indian conditions and they paid the price by doing that stuff.
