India lost the final match of the series against Australia, but they clinched the series. They played really well in the entire series. The team tried so many players in the series to test different combinations, but skipper Rohit Sharma feels the 15 members are very clear to us and know what we want as well. Rohit Sharma seemed in a different zone and was bashing the bowlers all around the park and scored 81 runs in 57 balls and struck 5 fours and 6 sixes.

India rested senior players in the first two matches of the competition, so they gave other players a chance to test their abilities. In the final match, senior players made a comeback into the playing eleven, but India could not clean-sweep Australia.

Both teams brought their starting players in the final match of the series. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first on the batting surface of Rajkot. Warner and Marsh justify their skipper’s decision to bat first; both were striking at high pace. Marsh was just down two runs from his ton, while David Warner was caught behind just after completing his half century.

Brilliant half-centuries from Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschagne helped Australia touch the 350+ mark. Marnus Labuschagne’s knock played an important part in achieving this huge target. Marnus Labuschagne played a significant knock of 72 runs in 58 balls and struck 9 fours.

India was chasing the target with only five main batters, and Rohit Sharma started with some stunning boundaries. On the other hand, Washington Sundar could not do anything with the bat. Kohli and Rohit’s partnership gave some hope to chase down the target, but Maxwell just never let that happen. He picked up four important wickets and won the match for his team.

We want everyone to come and play their part- Rohit Sharma

In the post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma expressed that they are very aware of what they want. Rohit Sharma was quite pumped up despite losing the 3rd ODI. Indian cricket team continued their dominance in the bilateral ODI series. Rohit made it clear that the selection panel and management are aware of the combination for ODI WC 2023.

“I’m pretty happy; of course, I would like to go all the way along, but if I’m hitting like that, I’m happy. In the last 7-8 ODIs, we have played really well. We have been challenged under different conditions and by different teams, and I thought we responded to that challenge pretty well,” said Rohit Sharma.

“When we talk about the 15, it is very clear what we want. We are not confused; we know where we are headed as a team. It’s a team sport, and we want everyone to come and play their part; that’s how we win championships,” he stated.

“I’m pretty happy for Jasprit Bumrah, and more importantly, how he feels body-wise. He has so much skill that one bad game can happen to anyone. How he feels mentally and body-wise is key for us, and that’s looking good for us,” he added.
