IND vs AUS: Top Order & Glenn Maxwell, Shines As Australia Wins The Final ODI

Glenn Maxwell spurned a web across India’s top order after the fifties from the Australian Top order with the bat. Australia beat India by 66 runs in the 3rd and final one-day international and Glenn Maxwell created a havoc by picking 4 wickets. Australia salvaged some pride by winning the 3rd ODI and it seemed as if the Aussies wanted to make a statement that they are not a finished product.

Australia captain Pat Cummins has won the toss and elected to bat against India in the third and final ODI before the World Cup. It was a phenomenal start for Australia. They went after the bowling right from the very first delivery. Both Bumrah and Siraj have not been used to that sort of counter-attack so far since they have got together.

Rajkot has been traditionally a surface which is good for batting when the ball is new and Marsh and Warner make full use of it. David Warner got to his third consecutive fifty in the series and Marsh continued his fine form.

Half Centuries From Top 4 Takes Australia To 352

Steve Smith, established complete control for Australia, forging a partnership of 137 runs (119 balls) for the second wicket with Mitchell Marsh, he missed a well-deserved century by 4 runs. Steve Smith got to the fantastic half-century. Marnus Labuschagne joined hands with Smith and continued to score and played some traffic shorts and though the wicket fell at the other end he stuck at one end and scored a vital 72 to take Australia to 352.

Washington Sundar to open the innings along with Rohit for India in the absence of Gill. He gave good company Rohit on the other end had an explosive start for India in the powerplay overs as the wicket was quite placid and bowlers had to toil a lot

Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant  81 off just 57 balls with 5 fours and 6 sixes which gave India a great start with the bat. Virat Kohli once again showed his class as he scored his 66th ODI fifty 56 off 61 with 5 fours and 1 six. The duo were foxed by Glenn Maxwell foxed Virat & Rohit and eventually won the game for Australia

Josh Hazlewood picked up two wickets for 42 in his 8 overs. The swashbuckling right handed batter Suryakumar Yadav was undone by the sheer brilliance of Josh Hazlewood and the batter was dismissed cheaply. Aussies wouldn’t have asked for a better end to the ODI series as everyone chipped in with quality performances.
