Mohammed Shami featured in the playing eleven in the opening clash against Australia in the hot conditions of Mohali. He opened his claw in the match on a wicket that was suitable for the batters, and he opened up about this as well between the inning breaks.

Mohammed Shami was guided to the boundary on his very first ball in the inning, but he pulled thin with the big wicket of Marsh, and he did not look back from there. We enjoy each other’s success a lot- Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami was having an interaction the media said that the surface wasn’t that pacer friendly as the bowlers had to toil a lot. Mohammed Shami pointed out that the pacers used slower deliveries to deceive the batters.

“We enjoy each other’s success a lot. We have spent a lot of time with each other together, and this is a result of that. When you are bowling with the new ball, you have the responsibility of catching the right line and length for the surface, setting the tempo, and that is exactly what I wanted to do on this wicket.” said Mohammed Shami.

“The pitch was doing nothing much; the fast bowlers were getting out of the wicket, so the slower balls were a good option. If they pitch in the right areas, the results can really be in your favor,” he stated,” he stated.

“It is important to mix things up on such tracks.  The team needed it, and it is a good feeling to get wickets when you are putting in so much effort. It’s good for the team and your own confidence as well,” he added.
