As the ICC World Test Championship finals 2023 is around the corner, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team is all ready to lock horns with their familiar foes Australia on 7th June (*Wednesday) at The Oval. All eyes would be on David Warner who looked in all sorts of trouble in BGT 2023. David Warner perhaps needs to play his natural attacking game rather than getting into the shell.

David Warner had a poor IPL season as a skipper and the DC finished on the 9th position on the points table, however, his individual performance was top-notch with a total-run score of 516 in just 10 innings, thus there are no doubts over his form but IPL & ICC WTC are a completely different ball game.

“We Know It’s A Very Important Wicket To Get Early On” – Rahul Dravid

Dravid spoke highly about Warner whilst talking to the press, he refers Warner as a ‘Class Player’ and shown distress over his exceptional form and how hard it would be for them to get him out, early. He stated:

“He (Warner) is a class player. It’s not as simple as just turning up and bowling around the wicket and getting him out, he wouldn’t have played a hundred times if it was that simple. We know it’s a very important wicket to get early on,” said Rahul Dravid.

“There’s Nowhere To Hide Anymore, Everyone Has Very Similar Information About Each Other..”- Dravid

Rahul Dravid is stressed over the availability of data on players, everyone knows the weakness and strengths of the player, and the challenge is to survive through that.

“There’s nowhere to hide any more, everyone has very similar information about each other. It’s just how you counter that. Every batsman will have areas they are strong at and areas that are not probably their strengths, and David has been very successful,” said Rahul Dravid.

The conditions at Oval will be slightly titled towards India in case there is no rain. The spinners will be impactful, all the eyes will be on our dynamic duo, Ashwin and Jadeja, as they go against the Mighty Australia, today at The Oval Ground, London.
