India will kickstart their campaign on June 5 against Ireland and will look to dominate the World Cup and want to finish the drought of 12 years. India played their only warm-up match against Bangladesh and had a comprehensive win by 60 runs. India got their answers ahead of the opening match and will go with the same plans. Out of form Hardik Pandya also scored 40 runs and stated his knock that he is back in form.
Navjot Singh Sidhu backs Hardik Pandya
Indian team played their warm-up match and many positives were seen from the camp Rishabh Pant came back in a blue jersey and proved himself why he is an asset for the team, and Hardik Pandya who was out of form scored 40 runs from just 23 balls showed his original form.
Last few months Hardik faced many backlashes Mumbai Indians got knocked out, and fans booed him in the stadium which impacted his game. But to regain the form one innings is enough this is what Hardik showed and gave answers to the fans. Questions were raised about whether Hardik Pandya will be back into form or not. Former Indian batter Navjot Singh Sidhu backs Hardik Pandya though he is out of form. Navjot Singh Sidhu said:
“There were many question marks over Hardik Pandya and they have been erased. The more you try to put Hardik Pandya down, the more he emerges and shines, just like a diamond shines after being continuously rubbed. Hardik Pandya is a great takeaway,”
“If you were going to play Yashasvi in the next match, you would have given him practice. You would have hit him in the middle. So you are making it clear that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will open, which is a good sign in a way because it gives you the option to play five bowlers, with Hardik as the sixth,” Sidhu elaborated.
Everyone knows that Hardik Pandya is the kind of player who has the potential to finish games and earlier we witnessed his knocks and how important his role is for India his position is to finish innings and being an all-rounder he can bowl also. His overs will be crucial and can be used as a sixth bowler but his spell will be impactful for team India.
