India started their campaign with a win over Ireland on Wednesday. India restricted Ireland to just 96 runs and won the match. Bowlers played a huge role which made India secure a comprehensive victory. Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Arshdeep Singh were the highlights from the match. Most importantly Hardik Pandya was out of form in IPL and showed his class in the very first match by scalping 3 wickets most importantly he bowled a complete spell. Deputy Hardik Pandya spellbound everyone with his class and proved the doubters wrong.
Sunil Gavaskar lauds Hardik Pandya
Legendary Sunil Gavaskar lauds Hardik Pandya for his crucial effort against Ireland, Hardik Pandya who was out of form proved everyone wrong after his valiant spell. Hardik used to bowl 1-2 overs but now he bowled a four-over spell which is a positive sign for India ahead in the next matches. Sunil Gavaskar said:
“When you are playing for India it’s huge. It’s humongous. The way he was running in, what was impressive was that he bowled his four overs on the trot. Not that he bowled two overs and took a break. That is a test that also had to be run. He has also come through that test very, very impressively.”
In IPL 2024 Hardik Pandya returned to his home team Mumbai Indians and later he was appointed as the captain which turned things negative fans slammed Hardik Pandya and Mumbai Indians for removing Rohit Sharma as captain many backlashes were done by fans, Hardik was booed in the stadium and so Mumbai Indians was knocked out of the tournament and finished last in the points table.
