On the other hand, the former Indian spinner backed him to play every match for India in the World Cup.
India has been trusting Suryakumar Yadav because of his ability to change the tempo of the game. He has been with the team for the last few years, and even after a bad run in the ODI format, he has justified his worth against Australia by scoring two half-centuries in a row.
There were plenty of questions about Suryakumar Yadav going into the 2023 World Cup and his series with Australia as well. He gave a cracking answer to these questions with two half centuries in the first and second matches of the series and played an important part in the series victory. The 3rd ODI though was a forgettable one for Suryakumar Yadav.
In the first match, he performed under pressure, making a partnership with Kl Rahul and clinching the match. In the second match, it was his quickfire knock that helped India achieve a mammoth score of 399. He also struck four sixes in a row for Cameron Green.

Harbhajan Singh was seen speaking on his You Tube channel. Harbhajan Singh pointed out that Suryakumar Yadav should play all the matches in ODI WC 2023. Harbhajan Singh stated that Suryakumar Yadav has the knack of changing the match in a quick time.
“Suryakumar Yadav should play every match in the 2023 World Cup. In whose place, I don’t know. But his name should be in the playing eleven. After that, the other players should be selected. He is a player who can win games and completely change the tempo of a game. When he performs, he turns the match into a one-sided one,” said Harbhajan Singh.
There is no better player who can bat with a better strike rate than him. Among finishers, we have Hardik and Jadeja, but I feel Suryakumar Yadav should play at number five. He should play every World Cup match. No team has a better player than him,” he added.
