The right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna missed out on the ODI WC 2023 squad. The pacer is considered to be the next big thing in World Cricket as Prasidh Krishna not only has got express pace but has got good control over his line & length which is priceless in the modern cricket.
BCCI’s selection panel have shown faith in the trio of Shami, Siraj & Bumrah and at the same time the flamboyant all-rounder Shardul Thakur can be used as a secret weapon by Rohit Sharma. Shardul Thakur is often termed to be the bowler with the golden arm.
You have a proposal but refused to marry- Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his You Tube channel and said that he was astonished by the absence of Prasidh Krishna for the ODI WC 2023. Aakash Chopra pointed out that why Prasidh Krishna was into the scheme of things for Asia Cup when eventually he wasn’t going to be a part of ODI WC squad.
“Prasidh Krishna would have got extra pace. You gave a proposal but refused to marry. You said you can even do the engagement but won’t marry. You have that much confidence that you want to keep him in the scheme of things in the Asia Cup. You have trust but eventually you don’t have enough trust that you can take him forward,” said Aakash Chopra.
Lethal spin attack
The trio of Axar, Jadeja & Kuldeep can easily spurn a web across the batters. Kuldeep Yadav is considered to be the frontline spinner as then left arm chinaman recently has developed a lot of variations and is quite hard to pick for the batters.
The Rohit Sharma led side would rotate Jadeja & Axar who have similar traits. At the same time, Ravindra Jadeja can be used in the middle order as well when the team is in a state of bother or we can say have lost the top order which happens quite often in crunch matches of the tournament.
