“Finding the right coach for our national team is a meticulous and thorough process,”. “We are focused on identifying individuals who possess a deep understanding of the Indian cricket structure and have risen through the ranks,” Shah said.
In his role as an IPL team mentor, Gautam Gambhir has achieved great success. He guided the Lucknow Super Giants to the qualifications in both 2022 and 2023 while serving as their mentor. He returned to KKR as their mentor in the IPL 2024, and since then, he has led them to the championship game.
VVS Laxman has not yet submitted an application for the position of head coach of Team India, with a deadline of May 27th, according to a report by news agency PTI. This is due to his desire to avoid taking on the ‘taxing’ role of head coach for India for the ensuing three and a half years.
Laxman will be the best applicant if he decides to apply because he has experience in the NCA and is acquainted with the junior levels’ setup (India A and U-19).
