It’s great to hear that Jofra Archer is back in action and making an impact! He’s such a dynamic player, and his return is undoubtedly a boost for both Sussex and England. With his bowling prowess, he adds a whole new dimension to the game. Jos Buttler’s words reflect the sentiment of many cricket fans who are excited to see Jofra Archer back on the field.

Injuries can indeed be a major setback for any athlete, and it’s unfortunate that Jofra Archer has had to contend with them throughout his career. The past year has undoubtedly been challenging for him, having to deal with the physical and mental aspects of rehabilitation. However, his return to action, even at the second XI level, signals positive progress in his recovery journey.

Archer’s inclusion in the squad for the T20 World Cup and the upcoming series against Pakistan underscores his importance to the team and reflects the confidence of the selectors in his ability to make a significant impact. Archer’s pace and skill make him a potent weapon in the shortest format of the game, and his return will undoubtedly bolster England’s chances in these crucial competitions.

Archer is gradually picking up pace and form, which is excellent news ahead of the series against Pakistan. His performance for Sussex’s second string, especially taking the new ball and returning impressive figures of 1-11 in six overs, indicates that he’s regaining his rhythm and confidence on the field.

Jofra Archer is someone you can always turn to in a game- Jos Buttler

Jofra Archer‘s ability to generate bounce and trouble batsmen, as evidenced by hitting Ekansh Singh on the helmet and then dismissing him caught in the slips, showcases his potency as a fast bowler. Jos Buttler returned from the Indian Premier League (IPL) early for England’s preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup and told Britain’s Press Association news agency that:

“It’s a huge encouragement for him to be back and see him ready to play. Everyone knows what he is capable of and the attitude he possesses. As a captain he is someone you can always turn to in a game because he always has a trick up his sleeve,” said Jos Buttler.

He further went on to say that:

“It’s great to be able to call on him but it’s important to manage expectations. He has been out of it for a while now so we will need to look after him and realize that it might just take him a little while to be the Jofra of 2019,”

Buttler concluded by saying:

“He is a proper superstar but we do have to be smart with him. It’s a jump in intensity from what he’s doing now to international cricket and you can’t really replicate it,”
