David Willey and the spinners guide England to victory. they won 93 runs against Pakistan in their last and final game. David Willey ended his International career on a high note with a match-winning spell of 3 for 56 in his 10 overs.

England had won the toss and they are batting first. Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the semis vanished with the flip of the coin. This was going to be David Willey’s last international match as the left-arm seamer has announced retirement over the contract issue

Malan and Bairstow got to a cautious start as the ball swung both ways but after the 4th over they started attacking as they scored 75 runs in the power play. The duo put on  82 runs partnership for the opening wicket before Malan departed for 31 runs off 39 balls with 5 fours trying to reverse sweep Iftikhar Ahmed, getting an edge and getting caught by Rizwan.

Jonny Bairstow scored a brilliant half-century before getting dismissed for 59 runs off 61 balls with 7 fours and six. Root and Stokes put on a partnership of  132 runs for the third wicket before Ben Stokes departed for a well-made 84 runs off 76 balls with11 fours and 2 sixes he is looking to launch into the first ball of the over from Afridi but is unable to do so. Joe Root also departed for a well-made 60 runs off 72 balls with 4 fours and it’s once again Afridi in his ninth over. Goes over the wicket and deceives Root with a slower one that angles away from the England number three, who tries to flick it but is only able to induce a leading edge that’s grasped at a backward point

Then captain Jos Buttler and Harry Brook rebuilt the England innings with the vital 46 runs partnership for the 5th wicket before Harry Brook departed for 30 runs off just 17 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes.

Jos Buttler departed for 27 runs off 18 balls with 3 fours and six and in the end, David Willey, playing his last innings for England played a brilliant cameo by scoring 15 runs off just 5 balls with 2 fours and six to guide England to 337 for 9 in their 50 overs.

The fast bowling trio of Afridi, Haris Rauf and Wasim jr chipped in with 8 wickets for 204 runs in their 30 overs. Haris Rauf is the pick of the three with the figures of 3 for 64 in his 10 overs.

David Willey gave a dream start for England with the ball in his last match  He traps Abdullah Shafique LBW for the golden duck. David Willey got rid of Fakhar Zaman, the man in form  steps out and hits the ball straight into the hands of the man at mid-off departed for just 1

Babar Azam and Rizwan rebuilt the Pakistan innings with a partnership of 51 runs before Babar Azam departed for 38 runs off 45 balls with 6 fours He handed Adil Rashid at mid-wicket a simple catch. Muhammad Rizwan also departed for 36 runs off 51 balls who danced down the track to hit a ball from Moeen Ali out of the park. Instead, he misses, pulls a muscle in his leg and falls on the pitch

Saud Shakeel departs after being hoodwinked by a googly from Adil Rashid, which makes contact with his middle stump from behind his legs His stint is over 29 runs. Moeen Ali snaps up Iftikhar Ahmed’s wicket for three runs. Dawid Malan with a superb catch.  But he managed to grab the ball pretty smoothly.

David Willey picks up his 100th ODI wicket in what is his last match for England. He gets the wicket of Agha Salman for 51 runs off 45 balls with 6 fours and six. Haris Rauf lights up Eden Gardens with some meaty shots. He departed for 35 runs off 23 balls as Pakistan bowled out for 244 in just 44.3 overs.
