Hardik Pandya is all set to be part of India’s Asia Cup 2025 squad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce India’s Asia Cup 2025 squad in the coming days. Hardik Pandya, who has played 114 T20Is so far since making his debut against Australia in January 2016, will be a key player for the Men in Blue in the tournament, which will be played from September 9 to 28 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
During the premier continental event, Hardik Pandya will have a chance to create history. If the 31-year-old cricketer from Baroda manages to take at least six wickets, then he will become the first Indian and overall second cricketer in the world to score 1000 runs and take 100 wickets in T20Is.

India cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya will undergo a fitness assessment at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru ahead of the Asia Cup 2025. Multiple Indian players have either already checked in at the NCA or are scheduled to do so ahead of the 8-nation tournament that commences from September 9. Hardik Pandya, who is an integral part of India’s white-ball setup, has been on a break since the conclusion of IPL 2025 but already commenced training a month ago.
As per Times of India, Hardik Pandya is set to undergo a fitness assessment on August 11 and 12. The all-rounder took to Instagram on Sunday to share a story with a caption, “A short trip to the NCA.”
Meanwhile, the report states that Shreyas Iyer completed his fitness test between July 27-29. The middle-order batter, who last featured in a T20I in 2023, is tipped to return to the side for Asia Cup 2025 as the selectors feel they need his class and experience of batting in the middle-order. Despite remaining out-of-favour of the national selectors, Iyer has managed to turn the tide and impress them with consistent performances in domestic tournaments and the IPL.
