CSK vs RR: Royals Outclass CSK In Dominant Chase

Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets, thanks to a superb half-century by 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi. CSK scored 187/8 with solid efforts from Ayush Mhatre and Dewald Brevis. A key 98-run partnership between Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Sanju Samson set up the chase, and Dhruv Jurel finished it off. CSK is now likely to end at the bottom of the table for the first time.

CSK’s story of missed chances

CSK at the crease, the crowd on their feet,

A storm was promised, and fire they’d meet.

Young Mhatre stood tall, a whirlwind so grand,

43 off 20, with flair in his hand.

Boundaries flew—eight fours and a six,

But Deshpande struck, disrupting his mix.

Conway came steady, calm with his blade,

A couple of fours, then his innings did fade.

Caught by Parag, off Yudhvir’s sly pace,

He walked back early, a grim sort of face.

Up next was Umesh, but he lasted a blink,

Two balls, no runs—gone before you could think.

Maphaka the catcher, Yudhvir on fire,

CSK stumbled, the climb getting higher.

Then Ashwin arrived with a bat like a wand,

One four, one six—of the crowd he grew fond.

But Hasaranga turned dreams into dust,

A catch to Hetmyer, back went the thrust.

Ravindra, the rock, couldn’t build his fort,

Just a run in five balls, his innings fell short.

Pressure was mounting, runs were a fight,

But CSK battled deep into the night.

From power to pause, a dance at the crease,

Their total—187, not a stroll, not a breeze.

But the Royals had fire, and the script took a twist,

As CSK’s score faded into the mist.

Under the lights, with 188 to chase,

The Royals walked in with hunger and grace.

The crowd roared loud as Jaiswal took guard,

Ready to tear CSK’s bowlers apart.

Yashasvi the young gun, fearless and free,

Unleashed a storm like waves from the sea.

24 balls, 50—a blitz at the start,

Every stroke he played was a work of art.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore joined the riotous dance,

He swung with joy, never leaving a chance.

38 from 20, with power and flair,

Cleared ropes with ease, like slicing the air.

Sanju, the skipper, steady and wise,

Watched from the dugout with fire in his eyes.

But it was Riyan Parag, the artist in pink,

Who shifted the tide with a brilliant link.

34 off 14, he painted the game,

With sixes and class, and built on his name.

Hetmyer arrived, just to finish the tale,

25 off 8*, like wind in a sail.

Ashwin was calm, 11 from 5,

Chipped in like clockwork to keep hopes alive.*

In just 17.1 overs, the chase was done,

Royals had hunted, and CSK were stunned.

A six-wicket win, with 17 balls to spare,

The Royals stood proud, with victory in the air.

From Jaiswal’s fire to Riyan’s cool might,

The pink storm had roared into the night.
