The ongoing series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe hosts sealed the series in the last game but their thought is to whitewash the series. Bangladesh won the match by 5 runs a nail-biting low-score thriller was witnessed at Sher-E-Bangla Stadium, Dhaka. Zimbabwe had almost crossed the finishing line but fell short and got all out.
Zimbabwe’s preparation for the T20 World Cup is not hitting up to the mark though bowlers are giving their best batters are struggling to convert big runs and lose their wickets.

Zimbabwe had won the toss and opted to bowl first, Bangladesh who had solid batting form kept continuing it and openers Tanzid Hasan and Soumya Sarkar put in a solid century partnership of 101 runs including Tanzid’s half-century, later first blood was shed by L Jongwe, Zimbabwe felt they have trapped Bangladesh into their plan and it worked later after falling 1st wicket on 101 whole teams collapsed like a pack of cards no other player could score double-digit runs except Towhid Hridoy who scored 12 runs. Bangladesh was able to score just 143 and got all out. Every bowler was able to pick at least a wicket and L Jongwe picked 3 wickets.
Bangladesh Bowlers shines
After registering 143 runs onboard, it’s now bowlers who need to strike out Zimbabwe and win the match. Bowlers adhered to their words ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan picked 4 wickets while Mustafizur Rahman picked 3 wickets which was the highlight of the game before the T20 World Cup form of these two players is a positive sign for the team. Bangladesh had the upper hand in bowling as they knew the target was not pretty big so they fought from the first ball.
Zimbabwe fails to finish the final hurdle
Zimbabwe had a good day at the office with the bowl and they restricted Bangladesh up to 143 and felt they could chase it easily, but Bangladesh’s bowlers came as a storm and devastated Zimbabwe, still they fought well yet they fell short by 5 runs and this low-scoring thriller at the end won by Bangladesh. Mustafizur Rahman was declared as Man of the Match for picking 3 wickets.
