BAN vs ZIM: Bangladesh Seal The T20I Series By Winning 3rd T20I Over Zimbabwe By 9 runs

Bangladesh dominates Zimbabwe and sealed the series by winning the third T20I on Tuesday. Zimbabwe who were like amateurs in this series played some good cricket in yesterday’s match. Zimbabwe though lost the match by just 9 runs. Bangladesh scored 165 runs onboard and gave a target of 166 runs.

Zimbabwe in return was about to chase the target but fell short by 9 runs. Zimbabwe were not up to the mark till the last game but they picked their form at the right time and showed good performance in both departments.

Blessing in disguise for Zimbabwe in bowling

Zimbabwe had won the toss and decided to bowl first felt like the toss was beneficial and could restrict Bangladesh to a low score. Zimbabwe bowled well and didn’t give much runs rather picked 2 wickets and gave just 42 runs in powerplay. Zimbabwe felt they could push them into the back seat and win the match. Blessing Muzarabani picked 3 wickets and was the only player who conceded fewer runs. He gave just 14 runs.

Towhid Hridoy steadily helped Bangladesh

Despite a slow start, Bangladeshi Tigerts kept its heads high and moved on in the match as Towhid Hridoy who is scoring consistent runs in the series again proved why he is the savior for Bangladesh. Towhid and Jaker Ali kept Bangladesh alive in the game their 87-run partnership helped Bangladeshi Tigers to reach 165 runs or else it would end up to 140 somewhere. Towhid Hridoy scored yet another half-century and Jaker Ali scored 44 runs. Both were in good form and showcased can play in tough situations too.

Zimbabwe fought well but fell short

Zimbabwe in return gave their best performance but couldn’t finish the final hurdle as they fell short by 9 runs and Bangladeshi Tigers won the match by 9 runs. Faraz Akram scored 34 runs and T Marumani scored 31 runs everyone fought well and it was good to see that Zimbabwe picked their form at the right time before the T20 World Cup. Towhid Hridoy was adjourned as Man of the Match.
