The injury to the shrewd spinner Wanindu Hasaranga disturbed the team’s dynamics as Hasaranga is also a handy batter who can change the complexion of the match with his lusty blows.
Questions aplenty for Sri Lanka
The island nation will have to play out of their skin to give themselves a chance to win the marquee ODI WC 2023 because Sri Lanka’s batters have a bad habit of falling like a pack of cards in key matches. Kusal Mendis will have to bat responsibly, the right handed batter looked in sublime touch.
Head coach Chris Silverwood will have to reconsider playing 3-4 spinners in the playing 11 in ODI WC 2023. The pitches in the marquee ODI WC 2023 come under their scrutiny and we most likely would witness competitive tracks.
