The mighty England Cricket team would be pumped up after winning a cracker of the contest against Australia in the 3rd Test Match. The veteran speedster Stuart Broad once again got rid of David Warner and for a record 17th time in Test cricket. Perhaps, David Warner needs to play his natural attacking game to negate the threat of Stuart Broad.

The form of David Warner in this cricketing year is under scanner, right from the beginning of the year. Furthermore, his form showed another dip in the prestigious World Test Championship ( WTC ), and, what followed as a climax was his failure in all of the three test matches played in – ” all the more prestigious ” Ashes Tournament.

It’s a really tricky decision on David Warner- Nasser Hussain

Nasser Hussain was having an interaction with Sky Sports and stated that Australia should give another chance to David Warner despite his below-par performance in Ashes 2023.  Nasser Hussain said that the management can’t open the batting with Mitchell Marsh and pointed out that ODI & Tests are a completely different phenomenon.

“It’s the decision on David Warner. It is a really tricky thing. I think if they’d won here [third Test at Headingley], and they had won the Ashes, it would have been a time to move on from David Warner, but now it’s a live game, I think they need and have to play Warner.

“My point being you could play Cameron Green and Mitchell Marsh [all-rounders] and leave Warner out, but then who opens? You might have to move Labuschagne, or even Marsh opens in white ball cricket at times, so he could do it. But it’s a different challenge. That’s a specialist role: opening in Test match cricket. They’ll have to think long and hard about who opens the batting at Old Trafford,” he added.
