The Indian team got all the praise from the fans and some of the legends as their bowlers guided them to a record-breaking Asia Cup victory. Sanjay Bangar feels that India looks a well settled unit and have got a lot of variety in their attack. Sanjay Bangar pointed out that Shubman Gill can be the X factor for India in the marquee tournament

Indian team management has finally got their batting and bowling combinations in place going into the mega event. Head coach Rahul Dravid would be delighted to see the performance of Virat Kohli who is getting better every day, his knock against Pakistan looked quite dangerous as he paced his innings smartly.

Sanjay Bangar was having an interaction with Star Sports and was quite impressed with India’s unit. Bangar heaped praise on Jasprit Bumrah & Mohammed Siraj and pointed out that India has got an exceptional Mohammed Shami and the foxy Kuldeep Yadav.

We have one of the best attacks going into the World Cup. We have two fine bowlers in  Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj and there is an experienced Shami, Kuldeep Yadav has so many variations as he offers wicket-taking options,” said Sanjay Bangar.

Sanjay Bangar also praised Shubman Gill in the batting department as he has been in excellent form across formats Gill also becomes the first player to complete 1000 runs in a calendar year. Gill is the leading run-getter in the Asia Cup 2023 he scored 275 in five innings before the final at a strike rate of 90.46 with the best of 121 vs. Bangladesh.

“Shubman Gill has grown a lot as a player, and he has shown what he can do as a batsman in overseas matches too. The World Cup is at home, and I hope he continues in the same fashion. His partnership with Rohit is important for the team because they offer that mix of youth and experience,” said Sanjay Bangar.
