SA VS NED: Scott Edwards And Bowlers Guide Netherlands To A Famous Win Over Proteas

Edwards and the bowlers guided the Netherlands to a famous win over Proteas every bowler picked up 2 wickets each except van Beek and  Ackerman they won by 38 runs. This is the first time they won against South Africa in ODI format

South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl against the Netherlands in a World Cup match on Tuesday. South Africa made one change, replacing Tabraiz Shamsi with Gerald Coetzee. The Netherlands too made a replacement, bringing in Logan van Beek in place of Ryan Klein. The start of the match was delayed due to rain and seven overs were lost.

South Africa starts with the Maiden Over  Ngidi is on the money from the start and he keeps it tight and does not concede a run. Batter Vikramjit Singh also plays all six deliveries quietly. It was a  dream start for the proteas Netherlands lose their first wicket just at the start of the seventh over as Rabada takes snares Vikramjit Singh gets his first wicket and completes 150 wickets in the ODI. In the first ball of the eighth over, Marco Jansen gets rid of Max ODowd, who is caught behind. Both the openers are back in the dugout.

Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi rattle the Netherlands’ batting order

Rabada and Ngidi thrashed the batting order with some accurate bowling and the Dutch batsman is clueless as they lost 5 wickets below 100 runs on the board. Rabada bowled a brilliant spell and picked up 2  wickets to dominate the Netherlands batter today he finished with the figures of 2 for 56 in his 9 overs

Ngidi too did his role. perfectly as he also picked up wickets to put the Netherlands he bowled a first-over maiden and finished with 2 for 57 in his 9 overs. Jansen bowled perfect line and length as he bowled the second maiden over of the innings as he picked up  2 for 27 in his 8 overs.

Keshav Maharaj gets his first wicket of the match as Van Beek is stumped by Quinton de Kock. De Kock, he finished with 1 for 38 in 9 overs Van der Merwe and the skipper Scott Edward put on a much-needed partnership for the Dutch as the duo added 64 runs for the 8th wicket.

Scott Edward scored a brilliant  78 off 69 with 10 fours and six in the end Aryan Dutt played a superb cameo of 23 off just 9 balls with 3 sixes to guide Netherlands to 245 in 43 overs. Netherlands strikes early in the eighth over as they get rid of in-form de Kock  as he was caught behind for 20 off 22

It’s a dream start for the Dutch with the ball as Aryan Dutt starts with the maiden over and South Africa lost their top 3 inside the first 10 overs with just 42 runs on the board.

Bowlers decimated South African batting

The Netherland bowlers have decimated the South African batting line up both spinners and fast bowlers were equally good bowled with the plan for every batsman. Roelof van der Merwe bowled brilliantly his variations in speed made a huge difference he picked up 2 vital wickets he finished with the figures of  2 for 34 in his 9 overs.

Paul van Meekeren once again proves that he is one of the best fast bowlers that the Netherlands ever produced he picked up 2 vital wickets for 40 runs in his 9 overs. It’s the big one! Van Beek has given a big breakthrough David Miller is bowled as he tries to hit the ball for a maximum. The ball evaded the bat and kissed the forehead of the off stump. He goes for a fighting  43 off 52 balls.

Van Beek finished with the figures of 3 for60 in his 9 overs  he is the game-changer for the Dutch Bas De Leede also chipped in with a couple of wickets as he finished with the figures of  2 for36 in his 8 overs. Keshav Maharaj’s cameo went in vain as South Africa lost the match he made 40 off 37 with 5 fours and six.
