IPL 2024: “No Matter Where He Gets Used, Jasprit Bumrah Has A Big Impact”- SRH Bowling Coach James Franklin Ahead of SRH’s Clash vs MI

On Monday Mumbai Indians (MI) will be facing mighty Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai Indians who are on the verge of elimination will try to bounce back. Currently, Mumbai Indians is at the bottom of the points table with 6 points, and Sunrisers Hyderabad on 5h position. Sunrisers Hyderabad needs to win this match at any cost so that they will be alive in the race of playoffs.

The last time when they faced each other Sunrisers Hyderabad had registered 277 runs which was a mammoth total still Mumbai Indians fought till the end but fell 31 runs short. Can we witness yet again a mammoth total at Wankhede or it will be a low-scoring thriller?

James Franklin praises Jasprit Bumrah

Sunrisers Hyderabad coach and Former Kiwi player James Franklin praises Mumbai Indians ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the clash tonight. In this season Jasprit Bumrah has scalped 17 wickets and he is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. Though Mumbai Indians have played like amateurs Jasprit Bumrah has shined well throughout the tournament. James Franklin says:

“Let’s see what sort of tactics Mumbai go with. How they use Jasprit Bumrah. I know there has been a little bit of debate around about how he gets used, but again, it doesn’t matter where he gets used,”

“He has generally a pretty big impact on games. But if we see that showdown, I am sure it will be pretty exciting to watch,”

James Franklin lauds Henrich Klassen and T Natarajan

Later he also added that Proteas keeper batsman Henrich Klassen showed his performance and he is equivalent to other players like Travis Head and skipper Pat Cummins.

“With Klaasen, we know how good he has been for the last few years. When we have that sort of dynamism at the top of the order and then we get a good start, that helps someone like Klaasen,” he said.

“It is a pretty daunting prospect for most opposition bowling attacks, knowing that if we can get a good start with the bat, they have still got to deal with the likes of Klaasen in the second half of an innings,” he added.

He also mentioned ace left-arm pacer T Natarajan and praised him too, T Natarajan who is the future of Indian Cricket has produced some good performances this year and he was excluded from the squad for the T20 World Cup.

“If he keeps going the way he is going and can hold his form throughout the rest of this IPL, those sorts of conversations around India, they tend to take care of themselves. If he keeps performing, then getting back in that Indian side won’t be too far away from it,” Franklin added.

Naman Dhir gives an update on Rohit Sharma

Mumbai Indians batter Naman Dhir gives an update on Rohit Sharma ahead of the clash.

“Right now there are no talks regarding this, but it’s up to (the team) management to take a decision,” he said.

Rohit Sharma was seen batting with no such injury and was having a good time at the nets with net bowlers and season campaigner Piyush Chawla bowling to him.

Will Mumbai Indians turn their fortunes against Sunrisers Hyderabad and will end their losing streak.
