Rajnikanth new movie Jailer has been released with a thrilling entry. Our own Jailer the Thalaiva aka Rajnikanth has been in his signature style to make a more significant presence on the screen.
Not only his fans but everybody has been waiting for the movie since the release of the trailer. The Thalaiva aka Rajnikanth took a daring role of a jailer who has been captivating on the screen with his allure.
Rajnikanth is an honest retired cop or a gangster?
The movie starts with a simple man living an honest life with his family. A caring wife, loving daughter-in-law and naughty grandson with a son who is a passionate and honest cop.
When a thug kidnapped Muthuvel Pandian (Rajnikanth) and threatened his son Arjun (Vasanth Ravi) we saw a daring Muthu killing kidnappers like a smooth wind. The same person was portrayed as a timid simple man.
The jailer has never been a dull moment, just a roller coaster ride.
The movie progressed after the kidnapping of ACP Arjun. Soon we realize the man is not as simple as it seems; he even killed some people who were responsible for the murder. The major twist was reflected when he called Jackie Shroff revealing his identity as Jailer and the latter started boasting his supremacy.
In the past, we encountered jailer supremacy for dealing with the most dangerous criminals with the signature Rajnikanth style. Every moment was filled with twists if you see there was never a dull movement and a twist coming in every 20 to 30 minutes of the movie. Even when we thought it was the end of the film with the villain’s death it wasn’t. The ACP was alive.
The movie turn from Revenge to Heist
When the movie was all planned taking revenge for the death of his son turned to accomplish a heist to save him. The whole setup with a surprising cameo of Tamanna, Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Sunil and supporting actors like Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan and Mirna Menon made everything a masterpiece. The twists of Arjun’s character were phenomenal.
Verdict
The Jailer has been a cinematic masterpiece which brings together talented actors from the industry. The mastermind character and fresh narrative made it an adrenaline rush for the audience. The action and twists are perfectly directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar and the cinematography of Vijay Karthik Kannan was phenomenal. It is a milestone for an action mystery thriller. It deserves 4.5 out of 5 stars.
