The only positive that they can take home is they chased the highest total of t20 and IPL too, which will remain iconic and historical. The services of Ashutosh Sharma and Shashank Singh will be the highlight for the team.

Virat Kohli smashed a glorious half-century and played an efficient knock of 92 runs.

In the post-match presentation, Sam Curran says:

“We had some highs, and some record run-chases as well. Lots of disappointment and apologies to the fans, we will keep fighting. The ups and downs have been quite tough, but you gotta keep learning and keep working hard.”

Sam Curran loved the responsibility

Skipper Sam Curran also mentioned that he loved the responsibility of captain and felt like they had some ups and downs in the season and were not able to gear up. He added:

“A lot of positive signs throughout the season, but not enough to get over the line, unfortunately. We knew that we had the best side for the rest of the tournament and felt gutted for the team. Gotta keep our heads up, keep learning, and keep becoming better. Enjoyed leading a great bunch of guys, would have loved a few more wins.”

Sam Curran didn’t have an ideal season he took just 14 wickets and scored 207 runs with the bat. Some close encounters didn’t show the result with them like against Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hope that next season they will bounce back and play a good brand of cricket.
