“I always woke up early for breakfast when I was with KKR as bowling coach. Then I said Sunil Narine’s eyes were swollen up, and I asked him about his eyes. I tried to ask him like a Caribbean person, but I can follow up the same; it seems more British and Aussies,”
He went on to say,
“Yes, I asked him about his eyes. I was surprised to hear that he does not sleep and that he was still with the West Indies.” I then asked Narine to elaborate, and he did, saying that he always wakes up at night and goes to bed in the day, just like Andre Russell, and they have done this entire IPL season together,”
“When I was a part of KKR, I would wake up early for breakfast. Sunil Narine came for breakfast with swollen eyes. I asked him, ‘Hey mate! What’s happening?’ I tried for a West Indies accent, but it did not come out that way. It sounded like British or Aussie accent (laughs),” said Wasim Akram
“So, yeah, I asked him why he looked tired. He said I haven’t slept. I said what do you mean I haven’t slept. He said I am on West Indies time. I asked him to explain. Sunil said he stays up at night and sleeps in the day. Even Andre Russell, I think he does the same thing. These guys sleep in the day during IPL and stay up whole night,- he further added.
