There was carnage at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) posted a mammoth 278 target for Mumbai Indians (MI). Travis Head was in the beast mode who scored 62 runs in 24 balls and struck 9 fours and 3 sixes. Travis Head went berserk from the start and didn’t allow any bowler to settle down.
It seemed as if MI’s bowlers were clueless against SRH’s belligerent batting line up as all the bowlers were taken to the cleaners. MI skipper Hardik Pandya made a mistake by holding back the lethal speedster Jasprit Bumrah as he was the only bowler who conceded less than 10 runs per over and bowled immaculate lines & lengths.
MI will have to pull up their socks and first of all stick to one combination as opening the bowling with Kwena Maphaka didn’t help the team much as he was taken to the cleaners by SRH’s batters. MI perhaps needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out their death overs bowlers as conceding 75 runs in the last 5 overs is not a good thing at all.
It seems like Travis Head destroys any team that wears a blue jersey- Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his YouTube channel. Aakash Chopra stated that Travis Head is not sparing the blue jersey and said that earlier it was India and then Mumbai Indians. Aakash Chopra pointed out that Travis Head has been absolutely stellar and stated that he batted extremely well.
“Travis Head came and destroyed. It seems like he destroys any team that wears a blue jersey. First Indians and then Mumbai Indians. If there is a match against him, wear a yellow or purple jersey, or Rajasthan’s pink one, because he is not sparing the blue ones. He has been absolutely stellar,” said Aakash Chopra.
“Travis Head hit and then Abhishek Sharma did the job Head was doing. He hit a lot and batted extremely well. From where he left, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen hit. (Jasprit) Bumrah came in the end but they didn’t stop,” he added.
