Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) deadly all-rounder Shardul Thakur would be keen to make a mark that he is not done yet. With the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 around the corner, Shardul Thakur needs to bring out his ‘A’ game if he wants to give some happy headaches to the Ajit Agarkar led selection panel.

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his You-Tube channel. Aakash Chopra pointed out that Shardul Thakur unexpectedly has seen a downfall in terms of money from 10-12 crores to 4 crores. Aakash Chopra though stated that Shardul Thakur has had a wonderful Ranji Trophy season with both bat & ball.
“Shardul Thakur – he has come down from 10-12 crores to four crores. You can call it a fall from grace in terms of the money. So he has an opportunity to show that he is still as good and deserves that money. This performance can say that, as he is coming after already performing well in the Ranji Trophy,” said Aakash Chopra.

We often forget that CSK not only have a long batting line up but they have quality finishers present in the form of Ravindra Jadeja & Shardul Thakur. The side undoubtedly will miss the services of Ambati Rayudu but the side has got a seasoned campaigner present in the form of Ajinkya Rahane who still is hopeful of another call up to the national side. It won’t be wrong to say that CSK are the red hot favorites to win the title for the record 6th time.
