The veteran bowler from team India and Rajasthan Royals (RR), Ravichandran Ashwin, opted for SOS for the bowlers considering the tough competition between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Eden Garden. Ravichandran Ashwin went on to ask for aid on social media platform X. Because he saw that the Punjab Kings were on the edge of becoming something exceptional.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) blasted the stadium by pounding boundaries over boundaries. They smacked their second-highest score in the history of IPL after PBKS won the toss and chose to bowl first. Sunil Narine and Phil Salt bagged a whooping 138-run, with the help of PBKS’ clumsy fielding. Three catches were dropped within three overs. Misfieldings leading to boundaries. Shreyas Iyer, Andre Russell, and Venkatesh Iyer beautifully set a high milestone (261-6) for the opposing team.

In the meantime, Ashwin tweeted:

“Save the bowlers”, someone plsss,”

Ashwin himself had trouble taking wickets in this season. He only managed to present himself one wicket in seven games giving up 240 runs this IPL season.

PBKS chased down the highest target set in the history of T20 cricket

Despite receiving a huge target, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) remained calm and composed and took on the game with ease. Prabhsimran Singh only took 18 deliveries to score his half-century and was dismissed after smashing 93 runs with his opening partner Jonny Bairstow.

Nevertheless, Bairstow kept on going to register his half-century in 23 balls and took only 22 more deliveries to reach his century. The Yorkshire batter received good assistance from Rossouw and Shashank Singh, who remained undisputed on 68. Meanwhile, Bairstow remained not out for 108 as it took only 18.4 overs for Punjab Kings to reach the target while having  8 wickets to spare.

The contest between the two teams was on a whole another level. Both the teams showered the stadium with sixes. Both teams had performed their utmost to contribute to the season. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lost their home-ground match twice, losing the first one to Rajasthan Royals (RR).
