Sunday’s double header promises to be exciting, with two matches to watch. The first match of the evening featured the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challenges Bengaluru (RCB) and winning by a score of just one run. Meanwhile, the second match pitted the Sam Curran Punjab Kings (PKBS) against Shubman’s Gujrat Titans (GT), with the Gujrat taking all the leads and winning by three wickets. Sam Curran‘s tactics were quite questionable against GT.

The Bowlers of PKBS have given it their all to protect the target of 142, which has made it challenging for GT to pursue. In contrast, Liam Livingstone bowled with his magical arm to remove GT captain Shubman Gill from the game after four overs, finishing with an economy of 4.75 runs per over, while Harshal Patel demonstrated his skills by taking three wickets in three overs at a cost of just 15 runs.

GT on the other side would now believe that they are still in the tournament as they have won 4 matches out of 8. The side though is badly missing the services of Kane Williamson who is still nursing an injury. Kane Williamson is someone who can play the role of anchor and later capitalize at the death overs stage.

I think we were some run short- Sam Curran

In his post-match remarks, he expressed his happiness with the team’s balling performance, which included taking seven wickets. He also mentioned that the team’s efforts with the ball and spirit were incredible, but the runs were not quite up to par. He ended by making it clear that the target of 160 needed to be more valuable and possibly defendable, but overall, he was still quite impressed with the team’s ballistic efforts and fighting spirit.

“I think we were some run short. The effort with the ball was incredible, the commitment and fight was amazing, but it was not enough,” said Sam Curran.
