Mitchell McClenaghan Reacts on LSG’s Loss

Former Kiwi pacer Mitchell McClenaghan reckons on the loss of Lucknow Super Giants against Sunrisers Hyderabad and says they have been knocked out of the tournament and have the least chance to stay alive in the tournament. He says:

“I think it’s a blow that knocks them out of the tournament. I think they will do very very well to recuperate from this defeat. I guess the proof will be how they structure their team next year to be competitive in the new age of T20 cricket and IPL,”

T20 cricket has changed its approach so we are witnessing 250+ totals consistently and an aggressive mindset is the new key to success in T20 cricket. The Modern-day T20 approach is seen in Sunrisers Hyderabad where they thrash bowlers from the powerplay itself and score big runs.

Mitchell McClenaghan speaks on KL Rahul’s approach

KL Rahul has been inconsistent throughout the season so his form has dropped a bit. His captaincy too has faced some backlash from experts and stated that his approach is very poor against the team. Mitchell says:

“If this doesn’t wake KL up to the style of cricket he needs to play going forward to be successful and to continue playing for India, I don’t know what will. He can do it. He has got to get past, very similar to what we’ve seen with Virat (Kohli), the feeling of ‘ You’re the only person that can score runs’. And he’s got to go, right, I need to score runs but if I am going to miss out, it’s okay,”
