The craze for IPL 2024 auction is getting bigger day by day. All eyes will be on the Australian skipper Pat Cummins who displayed shrewd tactics while winning the ODI WC 2023 in India. Pat Cummins skipped IPL 2023 and prioritized national duty and in doing that Australia won ICC WTC 2021-23 final against the mighty Indian cricket team, retained the Ashes 2023 and won the ODI WC 2023. Pat Cummins is more of an ODI or Test bowler- AB de Villiers
AB de Villiers was seen speaking on his You Tube channel. AB de Villiers stated that Pat Cummins is not a T20I bowler and termed him as more of a ODI or Test bowler. AB de Villiers pointed out that CSK needs another pacer int their ranks as they have pretty inexperienced bowling line up.
“I don’t see Pat Cummins going to CSK. He has been a bit expensive over the past few years so I don’t see T20 as his strongest suit. He is more of an ODI or a Test bowler. But anything can happen in the auction,” said AB de Villiers.
“They (CSK) are fairly good in the spin department and I feel they will need a pacer. You will see these guys feature at the backend of the tournament. They always seem to find a way. CSK need at least another batter in the top five. Playing there, you need smart players who know how to get runs in those conditions and who are good players of spin,” he added.
